Obamanation Peace Price

Today I saw President Obama and his wife Michelle. They waved from the bullet proof balcony at Grand Hotel, Oslo. The crowd was huge and shouted Yes, we can.

He deserves the Peace Price. I want to see a glass as half full. It is a good thing he got the Peace Price for his attitude, for his total renovation of the political climate of the world.

It was a bit over the top in Oslo today though. It started in the morning with snipers and spooks everywhere, choppers hovering a few meters above, thousands of police and everything fenced in. It was lively. Then he snook in the back door, the canniving man. No-one got to see him. Very disappointed, but not surprised.

There must have been tens of thousands waiting for his two minute wave from the balcony. It felt right to be there to greet him.

En historisk dag. Jeg finner ingen annen måte å si det på. En sort mann er valgt til USAs nye president. Hipp hurra! Jeg blir faktisk litt målløs.

En ung, karismatisk person som synes å ha mye varme. Så får vi se hvordan det utarter seg. Det er ikke bare bare å ha et slikt ansvar.

Jeg er stygt redd for at han vil oppleve attentatforsøk. Forhåpentligvis står ikke hillbilliene så sterkt at de evner å gjennomføre det.

Det er litt rart at presidentvalget i USA betyr så mye, men det gjør det nå. Etter åtte år med den lille gnomen Bush, økonomiske krisetider og to pågående kriger, er dette akkurat hva som skal til for å gi håp til en hel verden.
